MedSync ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by AnonexApps LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the MedSync mobile application (the "App").
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. Authentication is handled through Google Firebase Authentication.
Medication Data
You may enter medication names, dosages, schedules, pharmacy details, prescription (RX) numbers, prescribing doctor names, and phone numbers. This data is stored in your household's private database on Google Firebase Firestore.
Household Data
MedSync allows you to create or join a household. Household members can view shared medication schedules and dose logs as permitted by household roles (admin or patient).
Dose Logs
When you mark a dose as taken, we record the medication, timestamp, and the user who logged the dose.
Camera and Images
With your permission, MedSync accesses your device camera to scan medication barcodes and prescription bottle labels. Barcode scans are processed locally and via the FDA's public drug database. Bottle label images are sent to our secure cloud function for text extraction and are not stored after processing.
Push Notifications
We use device push notification tokens to deliver medication reminders and caregiver alerts. Tokens are stored in your household's database and are not shared with third parties.
Automatically Collected Information
We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as app opens, screen views, and crash reports. This helps us improve app stability and performance. We do not collect the Android Advertising ID.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide medication tracking, reminders, and household coordination features

3. How We Store and Protect Your Data
All data is stored on Google Firebase (Firestore and Authentication), which provides encryption in transit and at rest. Access to household data is restricted by Firebase Security Rules -- only authenticated members of your household can read or write medication data.
Sensitive fields such as RX numbers, pharmacy information, and doctor details are stored alongside your medication records. You can remove this information at any time by editing the medication and clearing those fields.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Within your household: Members of your MedSync household can view shared medication schedules and dose logs based on their role permissions.
- Service providers: We use Google Firebase (hosting and database), Google Cloud Functions (bottle label scanning), and RevenueCat (subscription management). These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
- FDA public data: When checking drug interactions or looking up medications by barcode, we query the FDA's public openFDA API. Only the drug name or barcode is sent -- no personal information.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
5. Advertising
MedSync does not display third-party advertisements within the App. We have explicitly blocked the Android Advertising ID permission. We do not share your data with advertising networks.
6. Children's Privacy
MedSync is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
7. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and edit: You can view and edit all your medication data within the App at any time.
- Delete your data: You can delete individual medications, dose logs, or your entire account. To request full account deletion, contact us at the email below.
- Notifications: You can disable push notifications through your device settings at any time.
- Camera access: Camera permission is optional and can be revoked in your device settings.
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the "Last updated" date above.

Welcome to MedSync. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MedSync mobile application ("App") operated by AnonexApps LLC ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
MEDICAL DISCLAIMER: MedSync is a medication tracking and reminder tool. It is NOT a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not a substitute for professional medical care. Always consult your doctor, pharmacist, or qualified healthcare provider regarding medications, dosages, drug interactions, and treatment decisions.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use MedSync. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
2. Account Registration
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us if you believe your account has been compromised. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. How MedSync Works
MedSync allows you to:
- Add and manage medications with dosage, schedule, and pharmacy details
- Receive push notification reminders for scheduled medications
- Create a household to share medication schedules with caregivers or family members
- Track dose history and refill needs
- Scan medication barcodes and bottle labels to auto-fill information
- View potential drug interaction warnings sourced from FDA public data
4. Drug Interaction Warnings
Drug interaction information displayed in MedSync is sourced from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) publicly available openFDA drug label database. This information is provided for informational purposes only and may not be complete, current, or applicable to your specific situation. MedSync does not guarantee the accuracy of interaction data. Always verify drug interactions with your pharmacist or prescribing physician.
5. Bottle Label Scanning
The bottle label scanning feature uses AI-powered text recognition to extract medication details from photos of prescription labels. Results may be inaccurate or incomplete. Always review and verify auto-filled information before saving. We are not responsible for errors resulting from misread labels.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
MedSync offers both free and premium subscription tiers. Premium features include unlimited medications, bottle scanning, caregiver reminders, and dose history.
- Subscriptions are managed through Google Play and processed by RevenueCat.
- Subscription pricing is displayed in the App before purchase.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription through Google Play Store settings.
- Refunds are handled according to Google Play's refund policies.
7. Household Sharing
When you create or join a household, you consent to sharing your medication schedules and dose logs with other household members according to their assigned roles:
- Admin (Caregiver): Can view all household members' medications, dose logs, and send reminders.
- Patient (Member): Can view and manage their own medications and receive reminders.
You are responsible for inviting only trusted individuals to your household. We are not liable for data shared between household members.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access other users' data outside of your household
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App
- Upload malicious content or attempt to disrupt the service
- Use the App to store data unrelated to medication management
- Share your account credentials with others
9. Intellectual Property
The MedSync App, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is owned by AnonexApps LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- MedSync is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that medication data, reminders, or interaction warnings will be accurate or delivered on time.
- We are not liable for any missed doses, medication errors, adverse drug reactions, or health outcomes resulting from your use of the App.
- Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AnonexApps LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the App and request account deletion at any time by contacting us.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of material changes through the App.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Colorado.

- Go to Settings
- Tap "Factory Reset Data" to permanently remove your data)
